The “datterino” tomato (baby plum tomato), a variety mainly grown in the Italian Tyrrhenian regions, is exceptional raw material. Its pulp has excellent texture and a bright colour. It is naturally very sweet, so no extra sugar is needed in the preparation. Garlic and basil are the variants added to this sauce to offer a great Mediterranean flavour.

The “datterino” tomato (baby plum tomato), a variety mainly grown in the Italian Tyrrhenian regions, is exceptional raw material. Its pulp has excellent texture and a bright colour. It is naturally very sweet, so no extra sugar is needed in the preparation. Garlic and basil are the variants added to this sauce to offer a great Mediterranean flavour.

PREPARATION
The tomatoes are carefully washed, cut and sautéed in a pan. They are then blended and sieved to obtain a homogeneous puree which maintains all its freshness, aromas and vivid colours.
Finally, the puree is poured into a jar and pasteurized.

This puree can be enjoyed as a condiment for spaghetti cooked “al dente” (cooked to be firm to the bite), as a delicious topping on a crouton, as a pureed soup to combine with fresh cheese, or... you can let your imagination run free!
